Investigators tracked him down with the payout. On the night of Jan. 8, Robert Taylor, a tourist from Arizona, popped some money into a slot machine at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Then, Taylor hit the jackpot, winning nearly $230,000  only he didn't know it.

The 52-foot-long scroll was found at Saqqara in May 2024. It contains chapters from the Book of the Dead. It was recently restored and translated into Arabic and is now on display at The Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The text is written in hieratic, a script derived from hieroglyphs.
