It had to pass through the regulatory gauntlet for a number of different countries, including the US, UK and Europe, but Microsoft's major acquisition of Activision Blizzard has now been finalized.

Microsoft announced its intent to acquire Activision Blizzard forR$68.7 billion on January 18, 2024. The acquisition was completed on October 13, 2024. Activision Blizzard is a subsidiary of Microsoft Gaming along with Xbox Game Studios and ZeniMax Media.
